English Heritage: St Catherine's Castle
One of a pair of small artillery forts built by Henry VIII in the 1530s to defend Fowey Harbour, consisting of two storeys with gun ports at ground level. Modified for use in the Crimean and Second World War.
Nearest car park is in Fowey. Western Greyhound 524, 525 and 526 bus services all drop you less than a mile form St Catherine's Castle.
