Converted church housing free-to-use studios with future plans to become a neighhbourhood arts space.
Although the plan is to eventually use the Buckhaven Beehive space (a converted former church) as an arts space which is open to all in the neighbourhood to use, upgrades required to the building mean that plan is on hold until they can be completed. However it’s currently in use as a free-to-use studio space for certain artistic projects, while the community group behind it are active in developing arts and culture in the area. In particular, the Beehive works with marginalised groups on issue-based work, including a recent project with young carers.
