Cannon Hall Museum
A stately home set in 70 acres of parkland. Originally built in the 13th century – with major renovations and extensions in 1765, 1778, 1804 and 1891 – Cannon Hall was a private residence until 1957 when it was transformed into a public museum. Now housing many artworks, furniture and antiques (including works from the De Morgan Collection) as well as hosting family events and outdoor theatre.
Cannon Hall Museum is located off the A635. Follow the brown signs from J37 and J38 of the M1. The nearest National Rail station is Barnsley then take the 20 or 92 bus.
