Comments & ratings

1. Yvonne Kellow25 Feb 2017, 12:36am5 stars Palace Theatre Report

Last night I crossed off something from my bucket list! I saw Lakme - I took my daughter, who was one of the youngest people there, and we sat and watched our first Opera. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Whilst not dressed quite the same as Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, nor with Richard Gere sat next to me, the Opera was excellent, the tension was there and the performer's voices were beautiful. The scenes were easily followed and the singing was in English. All in all a wonderful experience and I would encourage anyone, any age to give it a go - you never know, you may be tempted to go to another!
