English Heritage: Wellington Arch
Wellington Arch is a triumphal arch, celebrating Napoleonic victories, which has also been known as Constitution Arch and Green Park Arch. It was designed by Decimus Burton and built between 1826 and 1830. The statue of The Duke of Wellington which was originally atop the monument now stands nearby facing Apsley House.
There is public access to three floors with materials telling the history of the arch and views of the surrounding area can be gained from two terraces on the top.
