St Michael's Church
A site of worship dating back to 1100 the current building was designed in the neo-Gothic style by architect Lewis Vulliamy and opened in 1832. The original organ was installed in 1842 but has been repaired and rebuilt on several occasions, most recently in 1985 and 2011 when the interior of the church was restored and renovated. St Michael's is also the final resting place of poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge after his remains were reburied at the site in 1961.
St Michael’s is equidistant between Archway and Highgate London Underground stations. Bus routes 143, 210, 214 and 271 all stop nearby.
