The aim of our £2.2 million facility is to bring many community organisations together under one roof, and in particular to meet the growing demand for services from the Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB), with several dedicated private rooms for CAB staff to meet people and offer advice.
The single-storey centre on Four Elms Road, built on the site of the former Eden Valley School, offers a range of facilities to accommodate disabled users, such as a kitchen with adjustable-height worktops for wheelchair users, large toilets with adjustable showers and a sensory room.
The library, now part of the centre, has significantly increased in size and is now open six days a week, complete with a children’s area and free computers.
We are very proud of what we have achieved and very proud to have it sorted for the people of Edenbridge – it’s an exceptional facility for our community.
