Bedford House offers 4 Star standard , high quality, contemporary self catering one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom apartments in the centre of Torquay. The apartments are located only a short walk to Torquay harbour where a large number of restaurants cafes, bars and shops can be found. The Bedford House Apartments are also only a fifteen minute walk from The Princess Theatre making them ideal for guests wanting theatre breaks. Other English Riviera theatres such as Babbacombe, The Little Theatre and The Palace Theatre are also just a short distance away. Other attractions close by include Kent s Cavern, The Babbacombe Model Village, Living Coasts, Dinosaur World and Paignton Zoo. The apartments are set back from the road on an elevated position and enjoy all the benefits of a town centre location whilst enjoying a relatively tranquil position. There is off street parking providing one parking space per apartment. The building has beautiful well maintained gardens for the benefit of the guests and there are sun terraces where guests can enjoy summer sunshine and alfresco dining. Refurbished in 2012 the apartments are fitted to a high standard with lovely ensuites, modern kitchens and contemporary designed living rooms. The apartments are managed by the multi award winning team from The Somerville which is located immediately next door. Breakfasts can be had at the Somerville for an additional charge. Apartment 1 is a one bedroom apartment at the front of the building on the ground floor. Consisting of a kitchen and a bedroom with ensuite, the real star of this apartment is the living room which has large picture windows overlooking the front of the property and the Torwood area of Torquay. Well behaved small dogs are welcome in this apartment. There may well be a charge and we would advise contacting us before booking. Apartment 2 is a gigantic apartment that occupies more than half of the first floor of the entire property. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms together with a large lounge diner this apartment is ideal for couples travelling together or else for families who really like to spread out. The main bedroom has a king sized bed and an ensuite bedroom whilst the second bedroom has a bed that can be configured as a super king or twin. Apartment 3 has a master bedroom with a double bed, a further smaller double and a single bedroom and so is ideal as a family base whilst visiting the area. Apartment 5 is on the side of the building and once again on the ground floor. It is ideal for short breaks and an additional child can be accommodated on a sofa bed. We do not accept bookings from groups or parts of groups such as stag or hen parties or Young Farmers. If it becomes apparent that a booking has been made by such a group, the booking will be cancelled without refund. To secure a booking we take the first night s accommodation charge as a deposit with the balance being payable 14 days prior to check in. We do not charge for the use of debit cards but do charge an additional 2% for the use of credit cards . Although we are happy to organize late check ins after 8 pm a £15 late check in fee will apply.
