Passing Clouds is Dalston's determinedly progressive live music venue. It's big; it's vegetarian (and strives to be as vegan as possible); it recycles as much as possible, even down to refilling its old gin and vodka bottles; it uses organic fruit juice as a cocktail mixer and sources its own cola locally; it only hosts world music, with no rock, indie, electronica or DJ sets; it offers yoga classes, poetry nights and welcomes fundraising events for radical and environmental causes, and it stands for unity and inclusiveness, extending a welcome to all and sundry. Basically, if ever Jeremy Clarkson had to do community service, this is where he ought to be sent.
It's located on Richmond Road off Kingsland Road, roughly equidistant from Dalston Junction and Haggerston Overground stations. The nearest buses are 243, 242, 67, 149, 76 and N76.
