Penlee Park, situated in the middle of Penzance, was planted in the Victorian era and was bought by public subscription in 1946 to serve as a war memorial for the men and women of the area who'd lost their lives in WWII. Today it contains a memorial chapel and garden and a Sensory Garden, as well as a play area, and is the home of Penlee Park Open Air Theatre (listed separately).

Penzance station is half a mile away, and the Park is served by the 1, 1A, 1B, 1C, 6, 6A, 18C and 241 bus stops on Alverton Road.
