Located in Akroyd Park within the Akroydon model village conservation area, this Victorian mansion became a museum in 1887.

Displays include local history, costumes, art, toys, military paraphernalia, jewellery and textiles. There are also temporary exhibitions.

The museum has free parking and is close to Halifax transport links.
