Barrowland

Don't let the garish neon sign fool you – the Barrlowland Ballroom is not a cheesy casino but rather one of Glasgow's leading music venues, found in the city's steadily gentrifying East End. The former 1960s dancehall has traded in sock-hops for rock shows, with its sprung floors and ace acoustics providing a backdrop for bigger musical acts, from Robbie Williams to the Pixies.
