The Maddermarket Theatre is a recreation of an Elizabethan Theatre. It opened in 1921 as a result of the leadership of Nugent Monck, who founded the Norwich Players, perform regularly in the venue, alongside visiting theatrical productions and the Norwich Jazz club.

It has 310 seats. It is also how to the Mad Red Theatre School.
