Ikon, in collaboration with The Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh present a major exhibition by the Glasgow-based artist. Existing installations as well as a new work made especially for Ikon, reflect her interest in how space may exist in the mind, in stories and in memories.
Sara Barker: Talk
The Glasgow-based artist joins Jonathan Watkins, Ikon Director, to discuss her life and work, including the inspiration behind her current exhibition. The display features existing installations as well as a new work made especially for Ikon, taking in painting, sculpture and drawing.
The New York-based Lithuanian artist presents a series of installations that represent and embody natural phenomena such as light and the circulation of air, with an emphasis on ideas of movement made by both visitors and kinetic works in the exhibition.
