The Globe provides a permanent home for Jazz.Coop Newcastle, and is the first bar/music venue in the UK to be owned freehold by a cooperative.

The venue hosts a wide variety of music including jazz, folk, blues, indie, roots and acoustic. Jazz.Coop Newcastle runs a programme of courses, workshops and jam sessions where musicians can learn, share and develop their skills

Somebody's Cat

Somebody's Cat were formed in Spring 2016 by four very experienced musicians whose paths have crossed over the years, all inter-mingling in each others own bands in one way or another. This four piece line up deliberately has no front man! The idea is that the vocals are shared, as are all the harmonies and guitar parts.
