Ruins of a 13th century Cistercian abbey, built by the Duke of Cornwall, set in beautiful surroundings. This was one of the main centres of pilgrimages in Britain, as the monks possessed a phial which they claimed contained the blood of Christ. The museum boasts high quality medieval sculpture and floor tiles.
The nearest train station is Cheltenham, ten miles from the abbey, the 559 and 606 bus services both stop within one mile.
