English Heritage: Witley Court & Gardens

English Heritage

Visit the ruins of Witley Court, a lavish country house destroyed by a fire in 1937. Pick up a free audio guide to hear Witley brought to life with stories of past residents. Attached to the court but not managed by English Heritage is Great Witley Church, untouched by the fire it has retained its Italianate Baroque interior.

Outdoors there are landscaped gardens, monumental fountains, woodland and an adventure play area. There is also a shop selling heritage inspired gifts and hot drinks and snacks are available from the visitor centre.

Parking is free of charge.

Wonderful place to visit. Witley Court is special.
What a fabulous venue for a wedding picnic, but would need a contingency plan incase the weather wasn't favourable.
