The Heights Of Abraham
Since originally opening to visitors in 1780 the Heights of Abraham is the Peak District’s oldest, and one of its most appealing, tourist destinations. In recent times it has become famous for its landmark alpine style cable car system – the first of its kind to be built in the British Isles.
When the cable car arrives at the summit, visitors have free access to the spectacular underground caverns, exhibitions, shops, play areas, picnic spots, café and vista restaurant - all with stunning views in acres of beautiful woodland.
