The Olympia was originally designed to be the National Agricultural Hall, before it was decided that it had more applications than just hosting agricultural shows. The barrel-roofed building is a masterpiece of Victorian architecture and was built to last, withstanding the 1987 hurricane with no more damage than a destruction of a ventilation hatch. Olympia is one of the major exhibition centres and venues in London, hosting everything from concerts to pet shows, chess tournaments, art fairs and industry conferences.

Across the road from the venue is Kensington (Olympia) Tube station, which exists on its own branch of the District line that only operates at weekends – the rest of the time it's an Overground station. Pay parking is available.

  • Provides: Wheelchair access
  • Open since: 1886
