I received free tickets to see wizard of Oz at Blackpool North Pier and took the children to see it today 14th August. We received the tickets through my sons special school which he attends due to his severe Autism. The first half of the show went down very well. But my son who doesn't like waiting got bored and a little anxious at the start of the second half. The play got rather intense during the second half and my son got extremely hyper due to the characters being put to sleep, so my son shouted and got very loud and upset. At which point the scarecrow shouted "Shut up Kid", some of the audience clapped at this, I was gutted, this is the first time I have taken my son to a play in years. Please educate your staff on different disabilities and warn them if you are giving tickets to children like mine. You may even want to consider doing special events where kiddies with special needs will be ok, shouting and getting over excited like mine. Yours sincerely, One rather troubled mum!
