Darlington Civic Theatre
Darlington Civic Theatre first opened, in 1907, under the magnificent title: The New Hippodrome & Palace of Varieties, under the direction of quick-change artist Signor Rino Pepi. Over the years, a host of famous names have graced the stage, from Anna Pavlova to Tommy Cooper and, recently, Sarah Millican and Darcey Bussell.
The theatre is just a five minutes walk from the town centre and from the main train station. The nearest car park is opposite the Health Centre in Park Place and is free after 6pm.
