Theatre Royal

There was a theatre in Norwich for nearly four decades before it was granted a license by Parliament; and so the Grand Concert Hall became the Theatre Royal Norwich. The long-lasting second building burned down in 1934 and the current building, more or less, opened in 1935. Major refurbishments in 1991 and 2007 got it to its present condition as Norwich's largest theatre. It offers major touring theatre shows and opera, West End musicals, live music, stand-up comedy and local performers.

Norwich station is just under a mile away and connects to the theatre by various buses; the 23, 23A, 23B, 24 and 24A stop closest to the theatre.
