King George's Hall

King George's Hall was planned in the early years of the 20th century as part of a general effort to redevelop the less reputable parts of Blackburn. The impressive neo-classical Victorian building was one of the first in Blackburn to have air-conditioning and was fully renovated in 1994. It now hosts classical and popular music concerts, stand-up comedy, opera and dance performances and club nights.

There is car parking available at nearby Feilden Street and The Mall, Blackburn railway station is a few minutes walk away and the hall is served by the 6B, 7B and 152 bus routes.

  • Open since: 1914
