The Other Place is the West End's newest theatre by some distance, opening in 2012 on the site of the Westminster Theatre, which had been almost destroyed by fire. The Other Place was designed to meet the need for a theatre in the district that could house smaller, more off-Broadway-scaled productions; it has a 312-seat theatre and 100-seat studio space. Food is served in The Other Naughty Piglet and drinks are available from the main bar and studio bar.

In keeping with the theatre's scale, shows on the main stage tend to have relatively limited runs; previous successes includ Tell Me On A Sunday and the hit Urinetown. The studio offers an ever-changing lineup of cabaret, theatre, comedy and jazz.

The nearest Tube and surface rail station is Victoria. The theatre is served by bus routes 16, 38, 52, 73, 82, 42 and 148.

  • Provides: Wheelchair access
