Kilnsey Park

Kilnsey Park is a family visitor attraction in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Kilnsey Park offers activities for all the family including fun fishing, friendly farm animals, an adventure playground and a nature trail with red squirrels, a butterfly garden and rare wildflowers. We also offer high quality angling in two spring fed lakes for those wanting to catch a fish in this stunning location. Seasonal events and treasure trails mean that there’s always something going on.

The Kilnsey Park cafe/restaurant is open every day for a full menu of local Dales dishes, light snacks and teas. You can also take home a taste of the Dales: the well stocked Kilnsey Estate farm shop has a wide selection of local produce including our award-winning smoked trout, pates and pies.

We pride ourselves on being one of the country’s greenest visitor attractions. You can learn about how we generate our own electricity and heat our buildings using nature.

Kilnsey Park is part of the Kilnsey Estate which dates back to the 1200s. Originally farmed by monks from Fountains Abbey, it was sold by Henry VIII to one of his nobles and later passed to the Roberts family, who continue to live there today. Other activities available on the Estate include pony trekking at nearby Conistone and fishing on the River Wharfe.
