The Phoenix, tucked discreetly into Charing Cross Road, is restrained on the outside but old-school Italianate fun inside. Between 1991 and 2012 it was where you went to see Blood Brothers, but since 2013 it's been hosting the West End run of the Tony Award-winning musical version of Once.

The nearest Tube stations are Leicester Square (Northern / Piccadilly), Tottenham Court Road (Northern / Central) and Charing Cross (Northern / Bakerloo). The theatre is served by the 14, 19, 22b, 24, 29, 38 and 176 buses.
