Apollo Victoria Theatre

This fine Art Deco building was designed by Ernest Walmsley Lewis in 1930 and for its first 50 years it was a cinema, before reopening as a theatre in 1981. It was the home of Starlight Express from 1984 to 2002 and specialises in long-running musicals; its current hit is Wicked, which has been running since 2006.

The theatre's named after the immediately adjacent London Victoria complex, offering rail, Tube and bus links (Victoria Coach Station).

  • Open since: 1981
