The Apollo Theatre is a grade II listed building on Shaftesbury Avenue, originally designed by architect Lewin Sharp for musical theatre, although since its purchase by Nimax Theatres in 2005 it's specialised in comedy and drama, such as the sell-out West End run of Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem.
The nearest Tube station is Piccadilly Circus (Bakerloo / Piccadilly) and the nearest railway station is Charing Cross. The bus stops on Shaftesbury Avenue are served by the 1, 14, 19, 22, 24, 29, 38, 55 and 176 routes.
