The Regent Theatre, a handsome example of 1929 Art Deco, was originally a cinema but after a long career serving Stoke-on-Trent's cinema and music lovers, it went dark in the late 1980s. It was reopened in 1999 after extensive restoration, and now hosts major touring plays, musicals, ballets, operas and stand-up comedy, as well as serving as the Northern base for Glyndebourne Touring Opera.

Part of Ambassadors Theatre Group, the Regent offers workshops and summer schools to the local community.
