New Wimbledon Theatre
The Edwardian theatre (complete with golden winged statued atop its dome) includes both the 1670-seater main theatre and the 80-seater 'black box' New Wimbledon Studio. It has been hosting plays and pantomimes since 1910, with the likes of Ivor Novello, Noël Coward, Robin Williams and John Cleese gracing its stage between now and then. Well known for its pantomimes, it secures big hitters for its productions, including, most admirably, Henry ‘The Fonz’ Winkler.
