Liverpool Empire Theatre

The first theatre on the Lime Street site was opened in 1866 however the building was demolished in 1924 making room for the larger Empire Theatre we know today, opening it's doors in 1925. Hosting music, theatre, comedy and touring musicals, this being Liverpool it should come as no surprise that The Beatles have graced the stage in years gone by. After extensive refurbishment in 1999 it is now the largest two-tier auditorium in Britain with seating for 2348.

The theatre is situated next to Lime Street railway station. Bus services stopping on Lime Street include the 101, C2, C3 , C5, 10, 10A and 10B.
