De La Warr Pavilion

The De La Warr Pavilion, a true gem of 1930s modernist architecture, has been delivering art and culture to the people of Bexhill on Sea since a pre-fame Spike Milligan was posted here during WWII. Now a Grade One listed building (which would have much displeased the anti-modernist Goon), it was in a poor state for years until it received a thorough restoration and was reopened in 2005 as an arts centre. It hosts concerts, touring theatre shows, comedy gigs, art exhibitions, workshops, talks and tours.

Bexhill station is a few minutes away by foot, and the pavilion is served by local bus routes 12, 13, 94, 95 and 96.
