Riverside Studios was once a full-time film and television studio, but in the 1970s it diversified into live performance and became one of London's leading theatre, dance and visual art spaces. To this day, studios 1 and 2 are regularly hired out as TV recording facilities while studio 3 is used for theatre. The Cinema regularly hosts film festivals and offers double bills of classic movies, while the theatre hosts performances from local and touring companies and amateur groups.
