Tivoli Theatre

Built in 1936 as a cinema and theatre, by the late 70s the Tivoli was under threat of demolition but following a long campaign to save the building it reopened in 1993. Today it continues its tradition of showing a mixture of cinema and live performance and sometimes both, with a good deal of events being event cinema screenings. It receives no Lottery or government funding and relies for its revenue entirely on its customers and supporters.

The nearest train station to Wimborne Minster is Poole, nearly eight miles away. The No 3 bus runs a regular service from Poole station to the centre of the town.

The story of the Roger Ailes sexual harassment scandal at Fox News. It favours snappiness rather than a serious examination of the crimes, but Theron is excellent as Megyn Kelly and Kidman and Robbie are also compelling. Slick, glossy and entertaining, but it could have used more sensitivity and anger.

Emma (Taylor-Joy) is a self-important matchmaker blinded by snobbery and youthful hubris. It’s in keeping with the vogue for complex, unapologetic heroines but the comedy is rather hit and miss and it looks great. Taylor-Joy’s alert performance makes Emma her own.

Adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s 1868 novel about a group of sisters growing up after the American Civil War.
