Paul and Hilary Finney welcome you to Harmony House in Stillingfleet, a small rural & traditional English village with a Norman Church 6 miles south of York. . Harmony House Bed & Breakfast has 4 stars with Gold and Breakfast awards from Quality in Tourism. In our rooms you will find Egyptian cotton sheets, a variety of hot drinks snacks and homemade biscuits or cakes and a mini fridge with fresh milk and complimentary cold drinks. Some rooms have seating areas and all are ensuite with The White Company toiletries. You can relax in our comfortable guest lounge with a log fire in the winter and in the summer enjoy the Barn Owl flying across the green at dusk Harmony House is only a short drive to York and 10 minute drive to the park and ride at MacArthur Glen designer outlet. There is also a local service bus (Arriva 42) which goes from York to Selby. Harmony House has been a reading room a Sunday school and the rear of the house were agricultural cottages and a former village post office. Some parts of Harmony House date back to the 17th century There are several pubs and restaurants within 3 miles of Stillingfleet. Should you wish to stay in and relax in our guest lounge, we can offer an evening meal, supper or snack, and weekend meals are available for parties of four or more persons subject to availability. Please check and book in advance and we will send a menu to choose from. You can also invite friends or family to join you for lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. Hilary was trained at the Cordon Bleu school of cookery and runs a small cookery school, which you are welcome to attend if a course is running. Children under 17 yrs. are not accommodated in the house but there is a self-catering annex which is ideal as a family room for which we provide a continental breakfast hamper. It can also be a self-catering unit for 2 persons. Perfect for both holiday makers and business visitors alike who prefer not to stay in a busy City. Stillingfleet is in the centre of the larger villages of Escrick Naburn and Cawood. Situated south of York it has easy access to York University, Fulford Golf Club, York racecourse. Selby Abbey, Elvington Airfield and all major trunk roads to the South and the East coast Saturday night one night stays are occasionally available but are subject to a surcharge which will be reflected in the prices shown.
