Quarrelwood Woodland Park
Just west of the town of Elgin, this community woodland is a MUST in the autumn. Its wonderful contrast of oak and beech woodland results in an amazing myriad of colour at this time of the year. Ash, birch and larch trees also contribute to the spectacular autumn hues. Take a leisurely stroll through oakwood, pines and larch, or a gentle climb to viewpoints overlooking the Moray Countryside. Waymarked and informal walks start from car parks at either end of the wood. Both are situated off the A96, the Leggat Car Park is on the Spynie Kirk road in the west, and the Brumley Brae car park is to the east.
