Kinnoull Hill is topped by the Georgian folly of Kinnoull Tower, built in 1829. The hill offers spectacular views from the summit and you can follow woodland trails in search of local wildlife, although chain saw sculptor Pete Bowsher's sculptures of animals are a quirky tourist attraction.

Kinoull Hill was a Lovely Place to go. However....
If your a Walker these days then forget it. We are slowly being driven off the Hill by Bikers. They were built a Mountain Bike Course but refuse to stay on it for some Reason. Now they are over on the Tower side where the Walkers like to be, they are tearing up the Hill, Damage is dreadful, nearly all the wee Trails are impassable as they've been turned into Mud Heaps.
Personally I've been walking that Hill with my Dogs for over 40 Years, it used to be a Grand Place to go....You could walk any Trail quite easily, Not any More.
The Forestry held an Open Day for Complaints and Suggestions last Year. They were qued out with Complaints, mostly about the Bikes but they've not done a thing about it. Just Blamed the Horses. Well since when did Horses Leave Tyre Tracks Hmmm.
