Dundee is synonymous with Captain Scott’s RSS Discovery, but she is not the only historic ship in the city. Along at City Quay is HM Frigate Unicorn, a fascinating 46-gun Royal Navy ship which is now the world’s last intact warship from the days of sail and the oldest British-built ship still afloat. A wander around below decks is a real eye-opener, and the craftsmanship and detail of the interior (including those muckle big guns) is impressive. Also, amazingly, available to hire for private functions, this is an interesting and offbeat city centre attraction.
