After hearing a glowing report for the palomino, we gave it a try Monday Bank Holiday afternoon, Big Mistake!, the woman at the check in desk was most helpful, as we had not booked and she was expecting many customers later, but then it all went wrong, with a surly Waitress, who got our order wrong, or was it the kitchen ? anyway our starter,Cajun Chicken Gougons, arrived almost immediately, no wonder, it must have been sitting there waiting for us from the last customer, it was dried up and unappetising, then the Steak I ordered arrived, completely awfull ,tough as old boots, My wife's Palomino chicken was covered in thousand Island Dressing, which she had asked the waitress Not to put on, so it went back and was returned ten minutes late,r after i had given up on my Steak, the nicest part was the bottle of Chardonnay for £14,as for the decor, it has to be seen to be believed ! We will NOT be going back there as you may have gathered
I went to the Wepre Inn I had the worst fish chips and mushy peas that iI have ever had, the wife had fish chips and garden peas she enjoyed the peas my daughter had a burger the burger was under cooked she sent it back she left the replacement my grandson had a pizza he left most of it the son in law ate his burger but was not impressed the drinks were expensive this is one family that will not use this rip off again.
