A delightful house, displayed much as it was when used by its last owner, like a home rather than a museum. The long gallery on the top floor is a great surprise, and the views are magnificent. Knowledgeable and helpful staff who clearly enjoyed their roles.
Timed tickets means that the long hike from the car park might prove futile. No photography, even without flash, because of 'copyright issues'? Sadly, no refreshments either.
