this is absolutely ridiculous i was there with you and take great offense to being called an inmate!! the definition of inmate is a resident of a dwelling that houses a number of occupants, especially a person confined to an institution, such as a prison or hospital. this does NOT discribe redhall in any shape or form. NO ONE is made to go to redhall its a self referral place no one makes you go you can leave any time you want. your other comments are just a far fetched. that bad you stayed voluntarily for a year and a half!
my time at redhall was nothing like what you discribed its a supportive, caring environment which helped me greatly. i do not have the words to express my gratitude to them, they saved my life. its a tremendous place and i feel sorry for you that you feel you have to prosecute the poeple who were trying to help.

I am now a writing participant in the Scottish autism network including on a consumer theme, and I used to be at Redhall on grounds of autism not mental health. The truth about Redhall is that social work has been wilfully dragging its feet, including through the complaints process stages, for 5 years, against taking a position on gender discriminatory emotional abuse there.

The manager there read the equal ops policy to me in site meeting then behind the others' backs she told me it is unenforceable in practice. When 2 of the inmates there were behaving socially excludingly she advised me to voluntarily socially exclude myself from the circle I was used to and give them everything they wanted.

Even SAMH's complaints process is corrupt, they upheld my complaint against an innocent student who I had not made it against, who made convenient scapegoat because she was not permanent staff. The investigator did not speak to any of the persons involved in the problem at all, and he returned a finding that it would not not best serve returning me to there "to point fingers at anyone", i,.e. I decide it is better for you not to answer your complaint. The complaint included that they told me "cliquiness is life", and this was never denied.

Also, the work there was often exploitative and grotty consisting of unpaid standing in muddy puddles shovelling compost for them to sell, or backbreakingly digging over veg beds far more than they needed just to fill up time slots.

Every site that excludes negative comments on Redhall commits a crime, putting vulnerable adults into danger of emotional harm. Keeping them safe from practices like these is everyone's absolute duty, it is not open to discretionary choosing against, for anyone and any site.
