A retro-style tearoom offering lunch, afternoon tea, and an extensive selection of tea and cakes.

The 2019/20 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).
With candles, floral tea sets, and a relaxed soundtrack of swing and soul classics, the Tearooms at the Butterfly and the Pig feel a world away from the bustle and chaos of the city centre. Each of the menus are steeped with tradition, so whether it’s the porridge or kippers on the all-day breakfast, or the ploughman’s platter and ‘special sanners’ at lunchtime, you’re bound to find something that fills you up and warms your cockles. The homely flavours continue with high tea, served from 5pm and consisting of a choice of old favourites including fish and chips or gammon and eggs, followed by tea and cake – the strawberry and poppy seed variety of which proving a delicate palate cleanser.

Listed in the Glasgow Larder – order a print copy (free + p&p).

The Tearooms @ The Butterfly and the Pig Report
-
I booked a private room for myself and friends so I could celebrate my 30th Birthday, initial correspondence between myself and Gillian at The Tea Rooms was brilliant - she sent over photographs of the private room and a detailed menu.
When I arrived I was blown away with how beautiful the room looked and for me the gluten free options that were available on the menu. A delicious afternoon Tea was served on silver cake stands and washed down with Prosecco, £16 per head was fantastic value for money!!
Thanks to all the staff that helped my day so special!
