Cheerful cavern with all the ingredients required for eating, drinking and being merry.

Eating & Drinking Guide

The 2018 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £7.95 (+p&p).

Arrive early to get a table at the Stand – this good-natured cavern of comedy is packed out most nights. Since 1993, new comics have been honing their skills and big names return to try out new material, so the giggles come pretty much guaranteed. There are even comedy afternoons for kids. Once you’ve got your table you’ll have time to eat before the show: choose from a cheap and cheerful menu of nachos, burgers and beef or veggie chilli. Stock up with pints of Carling, Best or Innis & Gunn, a glass of wine or a whisky, and sit back to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the show.
