Hidden Door, in association with The List, are giving you the opportunity to win two unlimited access festival passes for their 2018 festival.
Hidden Door returns with 10 days of music, cinema, art, theatre, dance, spoken word and special events, as they return to the glorious Leith Theatre ("Scotland’s best new live music venue”) and also open up the abandoned former State Cinema building, just around the corner, as an additional venue.
Hidden Door is free to explore every day until 6pm, with tickets required for the evening and late night programmes, this full festival pass is your chance to get unlimited access to everything on offer at this critically-acclaimed non-profit arts festival!
Their opening night, curated by The List, presents a powerful all-female line-up with champion of Cornish and Welsh songwriting Gwenno, Stina Tweeddale of Glasgow favourites Honeyblood, punk pop outfit Dream Wife and headliner Nadine Shah, whose jazz-kissed indie rock is described as a blend between PJ Harvey and Nick Cave.
Other evenings see Leith’s own sensations Young Fathers playing a heady homecoming gig to support their new album (recorded not far from Leith Theatre), international Grammy Award nominated duo Sylvan Esso bringing their perfectly poised electronic pop, and Romare closing the festival with a full live band set.
Plus, Mercury Music Prize nominee C Duncan, Scottish Album of the Year nominees Admiral Fallow and Scottish indie icon Emma Pollock will play a special evening presented by Vox Liminis. They’ve also got a strong late night programme until 3am some nights, with Daniel Avery, DJ Food, Alex Paterson (The Orb), Nightwave, Neil Landstrum, Toxicologist and many others.
