The List and VisitScotland have teamed up to offer five lucky readers the chance to win tickets to one of the eclectic mix of festivals Scotland has to offer. Not only will you receive two tickets to the festival of your choice plus accommodation, you will also get First Class return rail travel courtesy of East Coast trains.
East Coast operates fast, frequent passenger train services between London and Scotland to destinations such as Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness and Glasgow on the flag-ship East Coast mainline, which also links the East Midlands, Yorkshire and the North East.

Open to all UK, CI, IoM and RoI residents except employees and the immediate families of VisitScotland, East Coast, The List Magazine and Creative Scotland their agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion. One entry per person. No third party or bulk entries will be accepted. Entrants must be over 18 to take part and to be awarded the prize. Competition closes 15 May 2013. No purchase necessary. Prize is for two people only. Five winners will be drawn at random. The prize does not include any travel insurance, any other meals or related living expenses. All travel and accommodation are at winners' and travel companions' risk. All entries received will be entered into the prize draw to win: A pair of tickets to the chosen festival by the winner listed within the Scottish Festivals Guide 2013 publication only. View the complete list of festivals for which tickets are available. Festival tickets are subject to availability and The List will make every endeavour to honour the winner’s first choice. Accommodation type will be provided dependent upon the nature of the festival chosen. For camping-based festivals the winner will receive standard camping tickets. For a festival that is based in venues within a town/region; accommodation will be provided for up to a maximum of 2 nights and a maximum value of £500. All accommodation offers will be of a minimum of 3 star rating as deemed by the VisitScotland Quality Assurance Scheme. Where a festival has been chosen which features a programme of multiple performances, a minimum of 2 performance entry tickets will be offered for selected shows. Prize includes travel with East Coast to Edinburgh, Glasgow; Inverness or Aberdeen stations. Any further travel costs must be met by the winner. First Class travel is subject to availability. The winner must pay all additional costs not included in the prize.The prize is subject to availability and must be taken in full by 31 Dec 2013. Taxes, fuel surcharge, meals, gratuities, travel upgrades or any other expenses not specifically listed in these Terms and Conditions are the responsibility of the winner. Winner plus one travel companion must travel on the same itinerary. Travel companions must be 18 or over, unless the winner is their parent or legal guardian. The Promoter is not liable for delays, cancellations or unforeseen events related to travel. Winner and travel companions will be solely responsible for obtaining valid identification and compliance with all travel and health requirements relating to acceptance and use of the prize package and must have no impediment to entering Scotland. The Promoter will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. All elements of prize package are non-transferrable, are subject to date availability, subject to change, are weather dependant and are subject to all prize fund provider standard operator terms and conditions. The prize is as stated. No cash or other alternative prize is available, except that in the event of circumstances out with its control, the promoter reserves the right to provide a similar prize of equal or greater value. Five winners will be drawn at random under independent supervision from all entries received and notified in writing within 28 days of the closing date. The Promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. If a winner does not respond within 28 days of first notification attempt, if any prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or in the event of noncompliance with these prize draw rules and requirements, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner will be selected. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given. No responsibility can be taken for any entries that are lost or delayed or which are unable to be sent due to Internet connection issues or systems failure or anything else that prevents entries being received. Proof of online entry or postage does not constitute proof of delivery. By entering the promotion, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. All entry instructions form part of these Terms and Conditions. Any breach of these Terms and Conditions will result in a forfeit of the prize.
