The Guide to Scotland's Festivals 2015

Introducing the Guide

Scotland has never been shy about staging cultural events that attract visitors from far and wide. When it comes to festivals, the country leads the way, providing an inspiring programme throughout the year, with everything from tiny one-day shindigs to massive month-long bonanzas incorporating music, art, literature, theatre, food & drink and more.

Festivals are an important part of our cultural life. New ones are springing up across Scotland each year and many existing ones are expanding. Together these festivals celebrate creative talent, provide a focal point for the community, stimulate the local economy and attract visitors from far and wide.

2015 is the Year of Food & Drink and there will be a number of festivals featuring the wide range of Scottish produce. Whatever the festival's theme there'll be opportunities to sample locally sourced produce.

The Guide to Scotland's Festivals 2015 is delivered both digitally and in print. Festivals are categorised under Music, Books, Art, Theatre, Film & TV, Comedy, Food & Drink and Outdoors. We have listings for over 600 festivals with around 450 in the print guide, these are searchable by location, distance, date and genre. The guide has been supported by VisitScotland as part of The Year of Food and Drink

In addition to the listings, we publish a number of features in including:
