The Guide to Scotland's Festivals 2020
Introducing the Guide
The Guide to Scotland's Festivals is an annual publication produced each January by The List, in partnership with VisitScotland and Creative Scotland. In addition to the Guide in print, each festival is listed online with information on 300-400 at any time.
It is a comprehensive guide to the wide variety of festivals staged across Scotland and including all sizes, from grassroots community-focused ones to large-scale international festivals, and covers genres including Art, Comedy, Community, Family, Film, Heritage, Literature, Music, Outdoor, Politics, Science, Theatre & Dance.
On publication, you can view the page turn version of The Guide to Scotland's Festivals 2020.
Add a new festival or update an existing listing
We maintain the Scottish Festival listings on a year round basis.
To add a festival, for which you need to register on our site, please visit the form which will prompt you to see if we already have a listing and the minimum information we require is:
- Name of the festival
- Web address
- Description of the festival
You can upload images and you can include social media links, ticket booking links and video content.
As well as listings for festivals themselves, we welcome programme information which can be added via the online process, or if you have 30 or more events within the festival you can supply them via a spreadsheet.
Distribution of the guide
Copies of the guide are distributed as a supplement with the first edition of The List magazine each year and others are made available across London. The guide is also distributed by VisitScotland and Creative Scotland to key cultural and visitor hotspots across Scotland, ranging from museums to shopping centres. They are also made available at a number of events. After early distribution at scale, single copies can be acquired in our shop.
If you would like to advertise in the guide, print or online, you can take a look at the packages we offer on our rate card.
