The Making of NVA's Speed of Light
NVA are renowned for their challenging public art works, often devised for remote landscapes. Speed of Light takes place on Arthur’s Seat and involves hundreds of walkers and runners illuminating this landscape in choreographed animations each night. Members of the project team will introduce the ambitions of the work, discuss production and design challenges and creative solutions and share some of their learning with artists/companies interested in devising performance work of scale and complexity for public sites. A highlight of the Edinburgh International Festival, NVA's Speed of Light programme extends across seven of Edinburgh's festivals throughout 2012. All ages.
