The American country singer has been winning awards for his classic and distinctive style since the 1970s. He first began performing at the age of 16 with his rockabilly group The Scholars. They gained attention with their hit, I Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In). It was then Rogers began to stand out from the group and soon after their name was changed to Kenny Rogers And The First Edition and the group were briefly given their own variety show as a result of their surge in popularity. Rogers went solo when the group disbanded giving him the chance to focus on country as his musical genre of choice. Since then he has firmly established his place amongst the country music greats, such as Dolly Parton, who he frequently performed duets with. In 1999 he formed his own record company Dreamcatcher Entertainment and continued to release popular hits that were successful in both the country and pop charts. His popularity and sensitive persona gained him television and film roles making him a household name, and firmly establishing his place in the hearts and homes of fans worldwide. This latest tour sees Rogers revisiting his classic hits.
