Jim Carey and the Saboteurs: Riots and Lobsters

Jim Carey and the Saboteurs: Riots and Lobsters

A showcase of the music that was in the plays toured by Kneehigh Theatre.

Expect an enthralling evening of music first created for plays toured nationally by Kneehigh Theatre in the 1990s, including Ting Tang Mine, The Bogus, The King of Prussia, and The Riot. All the music has been re-imagined and arranged by the original composer Jim Carey, and is played live by his 8-piece multi-instrumentalist band, The Saboteurs.

Travel on a musically diverse, story-rich journey from America to Cornwall, telling tales of riots and lobsters, fishermen and miners, corrupt officials and power-driven politicians, pioneers, saboteurs - tales of love and redemption. Sometimes through folk song, sometimes ska or swing, lyrical laments and brass arrangements will tell the stories and bring to life the worlds created by Nick Darke and Jim Carey.

The Saboteurs features Jim Carey, Seamus Carey, Nathan Fitgerald, Jen Dyer, Louis Gulliver King, Kathryn Williams, Marc Hadley and Roger Luxton.

Touring Dorset with Artsreach, the counties touring arts charity.
