Tame Impala confirmed as headliners for Citadel Festival in London, get presale tickets

Australian psych rockers turned pop superstars to perform their only UK show at Gunnersbury Park

Tame Impala have been confirmed as headliners for the 2018 Citadel Festival, which takes place at London's Gunnersbury Park on Sun 15 Jul. Presale tickets for the event go on sale at midday on Fri 9 Feb, all you need to do is use the code TMCITADEL. Tickets go on general sale at midday on Mon 12 Feb.

It's the fourth edition of Citadel Festival, and to commemorate it they've booked one of the world's most exciting bands to top the bill. It's a UK exclusive, and the group's first London shows since two sell out dates at Alexandra Palace in February 2016.

The band's third album, Currents, saw them move even further away from the more introverted psych-rock that characterised their debut Innerspeaker. In between, the band released Lonerism in 2012, which featured the instantly recognisable 'Elephant'. Currents saw Kevin Parker's pop sensibilities take over entirely, with the end result a modern electronic classic.

The full lineup is still to be announced for the festival, but revellers can expect a diverse programme, with live music, theatre, arts, talks and workshops. Last year's event saw the likes of Foals, Bonobo, Wild Beasts and Laura Marling perform.
